TeachSurfing.org is a platform which connects volunteer workshop facilitators with skill-sharing opportunities around the world in a free, flexible, and direct way. A TeachSurfer is anyone who is passionate about sharing skills, teaching, or volunteering, and who is looking for a unique cultural experience. Everybody can share skills in any area. TeachSurfing provides an interactive map where you can see communities, schools, and NGOs seeking TeachSurfers with specified areas of expertise. With just a few clicks, TeachSurfers enter their availability and directly connect with the school or organisation. TeachSurfing idea was inspired in One Young World summit 2012 and SAP Innovation Center helped to start the project. Since May 2015 TeachSurfing is a multi-award winning independent social business and 2018 winner of the Google Impact Challenge Deutschland. Our vision is to empower people to overcome educational, cultural, social and political boundaries.
