Our digital literacy courses are aimed at empowering in particular two groups: women with a forced migration background of all ages (Digital Women Program, on Saturday mornings) and young refugees between 17 and 29 years (Digital Youth Program, twice a week, in the evening). We offer a basic and an intensive course. Anyone who knows the basics of computer use can definitely teach in these classes!
We need helpers to teach and to support our students in their learning and inclusion process. Above all, we need teachers who can teach computer basics in German, but also teachers who are willing, for example, to check homework, support the main teacher in class and prepare quizzes. The ReDI volunteer experience is wonderful, but also a great challenge. We are looking for motivated people who would like to get involved in a 4-month project for about 8 hours per month. Our volunteers teach in teams about once a week and are supported by ReDI School with curricula, training and organisation. Founded in 2015, ReDI School of Digital Integration is a non-profit tech school providing migrants and marginalized locals free and equitable access to digital education.
We offer our learners high quality coding and basic computer courses in combination with a unique career and mentorship program, which includes the chance to collaborate with tech companies, startups and digital industry leaders.
Our aim is to provide our learners with valuable digital skills, a growth mindset, strengthened career skills and a strong network of tech professionals to help create new opportunities for all.
